Puppy HeadStart - 8 to 16 Weeks of Age - Keep in mind that every time you interact with your puppy you are training him so get off to a great start with this 3 week class concentrating on common puppy issues.  You will receive the Ultimate Puppy Toolkit which will be instrumental in your at home training sessions. Puppy HeadStart offers a rolling 3 week curriculum.  This means that there is no class start or end date.  Simply join the class when you are ready and you will have completed the entire curriculum by your third week. 

 

Living with a Dog 1 - House Manners -  16 Weeks of Age +  This fun and interactive 6 week session introduces the basic skills required to live with your dog as well as discussions on how dogs learn and how we inadvertently reward/train inappropriate behaviors.  Class meets for 50 mins for 6 consecutive weeks and includes a House Manners workbook and a Life Skills challenge on week 6!  Class size is limited to 8 dog/owner pairs and Semi private sessions are available for those who would like more Instructor interaction.  We utilize rewards based clicker training methods. 

 

Living With a Dog 2 - Public Manners - Continue your dogs training on your schedule.  Simply purchase a punch card and then attend class when convenient for you.

4 session punch card for $60; all punches must be used within 2 months of purchase

6 session punch card for $84; all punches must be used within 3 months of purchase

8 session punch card for $104; all punches must be used with 4 months of purchase

 

Living with a Dog 3 - Out on the Town - New 2008 Class Addition  - This class is still under development but the goal is to arrange weekly field trips for LWD 3 Graduates.  Details will be posted once they are finalized.

Agility Test Drive - Not sure agility is for you?  Why not try this one day session to get a taste of agility.  During this 60 min session you will get an overview of the sport, a brief discussion on training and a chance to try a 3-4 obstacle course with your dog.  Ready to give it a try?  If so, click on the schedule link above to register for the next session!

Agility for Fun - Don't be intimidated, Agility is not just a competition sport.  It is also a great way to have fun with your dog!  Agility is a team sport requiring communication and trust between you and your dog so what better way to spend some quality time together.

  •  Basic Jumps and Tunnels - You and your dog will be introduced to Jumps and Tunnels during this fun, active, 5 week session.  No previous agility experience required - just be ready to have some fun and leave the rest up to us!
  • Basic Weaves and More - Are you fascinated by dogs as they run through the weave poles?  Why not give it a try in this introductory 5 week class?  No previous agility experience required.  You bring the dog and we will bring the fun!
  • Basic Contacts, Contacts, Contacts!!! - During this 5 week session we will introduce you and your dog to agility contact obstacles - including the Dog Walk, A-Frame and Table.  No previous agility experience required.  Just get off that couch and come have some fun!

Please note, open enrollment for Agility and Public Manners classes are only for Personable Pets graduates.  If you would like to attend the sessions but have not completed the House Manners class you can attend an Agility Test Drive or we can arrange for a 30 minute assessment to determine eligibility ($25 charge).  Please use the contact form to request a skill assessment.
